Disney and Online Gambling: IT’S LIKE FUN AND SUN!

Classic duos throughout the ages.  So many of them….Cheech and Chong.  Simon and Garfunkel.  Starsky and Hutch.  Disney and online gambling.  Huh???

You heard me, people.  When I think of Walt Disney and those magical characters come to life, the first images in my mind are online casino sites and casino games.  What, is it just me?

A few days ago, we talked about the sponsorship deal between NHL team Calgary Flames and an online casino.  Well, the fun’s just getting started.  Only a few days ago, the Disney-themed Anaheim Mighty Ducks threw the party of the year so far on the floor of their arena, the Honda Center.  Hundreds of people showed up for Casino Night with proceeds going to the Orangewood Children’s Foundation.  If you’re still associating casino games with low-lifes, corruption, and debauchery, WAKE UP AND SMELL THE ONLINE PAYMENT PROCESSOR!  It’s 2010!

With casino games including blackjack, roulette, and craps, the theme was ‘70s disco with team players acting as dealers and The Funky Hippeez laying down the jams to get people in good moods.  And what’s not to be in a good mood about?  Drinks, friends, good times….and gambling.

The target Foundation is a local nonprofit which fights child abuse and neglect.  Last year they raised over seventy thousand dollars.  While it’s not been announced yet how much they raised, let’s keep our fingers crossed.

Good for your, Disney and the NHL.  As we like to say, online gambling isn’t going anywhere except to a better place.  Let’s see more events like this one.  Especially if it involves Minnie Mouse dealing me a full house.  I have a thing for a hot mouse with cards.
