Did everybody have a nice Christmas? With stockings stuffed with gifts, goodies, and online casino bonuses? Great-let’s put it behind us because we’re just over 24 hours away from New Years and a new decade. You know how it works, people-end of the decade lists, top 10 this, top 10 that, year in review. Shall we get to it ourselves? Why not.
Here’s my meaningless list of top 5 developments, online casinos, and whatever from 2009. Just because.
5) Top Online Casino: Casino Tropez. One of the most kick-ass online gambling sites around, Tropez has everything you want. Powered by Playtech, it’s sleek, it’s sharp, it’s hot, it’s got a big welcome bonus, and it doesn’t hurt that I’ve won some fat cash on their online blackjack game. They seriously put the “pay” in “Tropez”.
4) Top Online Slots of the Year: HEE-hee! That’s right, it’s MJ, the King of Pop, the biggest and saddest news story of the year. If there’s any upside to his death (and there’s really not), it’s the Michael Jackson-themed slots which came out around his birthday in August. Normally I’d rather be playing online poker or blackjack but I couldn’t resist once this came out.
3) Top Movie: “The Hangover”. What does this have to do with online gambling? Vegas, baby, Vegas! Great ensemble, brilliant concept, and a hilarious Mike Tyson cameo. The laughs just kept on coming.

1) Top Trend: The Continued Development of Mobile Casino Games. With the release of the Droid smart phone, this won’t be stopping any time soon. More and more games are being developed which means we can now play our favorite casino games whenever we want. And what’s bad about that?
